A new year brings me excitement because of all the wonderful opportunities we have. I decided this year that I wanted to use my blog to discuss other types of crafts as well as my hobby of scrap booking. As I spent time with my nephew, Will, this past Christmas, I started to see how much he was paying attention to detail. I started surfing the net and found this neat site on children's crafts that I wanted to share with you.
The Magic Cabin is a site that I thought had wonderful children's craft ideas. I wanted to quote their mission statement to you. “Our mission is to provide quality natural-fiber dolls that represent all the colors of humanity; toys with simple designs to encourage creative, imaginative play; craft kits for all ages and abilities; and friendly, reliable service.” As you can see, they offer a variety of ways for children to learn and express themselves. I wanted to focus on the different crafts they offer. Some examples are creating a calender for 2007 where they get to draw their own pictures for each month, card-making kits, beeswax candle rolling kit, beading jewelry kits, crochet kits, and much more. They have crafts for all ages starting from infants to over age 8. Visit the link above and look under arts and crafts, and you can see all the crafts they offer.
Thank you and Enjoy--Michelle T.
